Sweet Bell Pepper ‘Cal Wonder’ – Capsicum annuum An old heirloom pepper that grows to about 4 to 5 inches long and 4 inches across with a thick and glossy sweet red flesh. Large 2 to 2 ½ foot tall plants with an abundance of fruit. SOW seeds indoors about 8 weeks prior to planting out into warm weather at a depth of ¼ inch. If possible, use a seed heat mat or other method to maintain soil temperatures of 80 to 90 degrees. HARVEST peppers when they are green for a mild taste or when they have turned bright red for a sweeter taste. Ready to pick 65 to 85 days after transplanting. TIPS Pick peppers regularly to encourage further fruit set.
