Orange Habanero Pepper – Capsicum annuum Lantern shaped peppers only reach about 1 inch in size but can pack the heat of over 100 jalapenos. If you can get past the heat, these peppers also carry a nice citrus flavor. SOW seeds indoors about 8 weeks prior to planting out into warm weather at a depth of ¼ inch. If possible, use a seed heat mat or other method to maintain soil temperatures of 80 to 90 degrees. HARVEST peppers when they have ripened to deep orange color for best taste and spiciness. Dry and store a large harvest for use all year long. Ready to pick 80 to 95 days after transplanting. TIPS These peppers are extremely hot, keep away from children and pets.
