Why body oil over moisturizer? Moisturizer does exactly what its name is – it moisturizes. They are great for replenishing some nutrients and giving that smooth feeling. But lotions aren’t as good at absorbing deep into the skin and can fade away throughout the day. Oils are more bioactive and can revitalize on a cellular level. Also, oils create natural barriers with the skin to help it better retain moisture and protect against environmental stresses.
