It is a somewhat slow grower, and has very large, long leaves, and as a result, is not well suited to modern mass commercial production. It will eventually mature at between 4 to 5 feet, but takes awhile to get there, and has very long (8 to 12 inches) strapped leaves with slightly ruffled edges. Its' primary colors are red, yellow and green (as its name suggests) with secondary tones of orange, peach, lime green deep black red maroon. The color range shifts and changes depending on the age of the growth, available light and current ambient temperatures.
