This is a numbered plate block of 4 stamps as pictured. Issued on August 2, 1948, the US Post Office commemorated 100 years of U.S. friendship with Canada. The stamp pictures the old Niagara Railway Suspension Bridge. This bridge was replaced by a double-decker suspension bridge in 1855 and later the Whirlpool Rapids Bridge in 1897
