St_ Kateri Tekakwitha Laminated Prayer Card and Medal Patron Saint of the Environment and Ecology

Kateri Tekekwitha was the first Indigenous North American to be baptized in the Catholic Church. She devoted her life to Christ and refused to marry. She converted to Catholicism When she was nineteen. That caused some of the other members of the tribe to believe she practiced sorcery. In Order to avoid persecution she went to live with an indigenous Christian community where she spent the Remainder of her life. She is the patron saint of The environment and ecology.
