Mystics and Saints are people who led a Holy life. Many Saints are known to have had visions, Apparitions and Private Revelations. In the Catholic Church, it is encouraged to pray to Saints or to the Virgin Mary for intercession. This is called intercessory prayer. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is considered the highest form of Prayer. In the Jewish faith Prayer is considered a service of the heart, it is a Torah based commandment and it is mandatory for both Jewish men and women. People are encouraged to pray for one another and in general prayer may be practiced spontaneously by anyone at any time.
