SRAM G2 Brake Pads are exactly what your calipers have been asking for. Designed with different materials for the perfect ride and stopping power. G2 brake pads come in multiple options, including metal scintered with steel backing, organic with steel backing or organic with aluminum backing. Steel backers provide superior stopping power while aluminum backers offer additional lighter weight that won’t slow you down when you need to go uphill. The organic material of the pad provides a quiet ride without the squeak while the sintered pad is for power and durability. Each kit includes 2 brake pads per caliper so you will need to get 2 kits. Brake pads must be replaced if the total thickness of the backing plate and pad friction material is less than 3 mm. The rotor must be replaced if the total thickness is less than 1.55 mm, or when changing pad friction material.
