Euphorbia milii Dwarf Apache is a smaller version of the popular Madagascar native commonly called Crown of Thorns. Although they are technically a type of succulent, they require growing conditions more like tropical foliage than the typical succulents or cacti. They have a main, thorny stem that tends to bush out and grow other side branches, usually forming at or near the soil line with the main base. Their foliage can be described as broad leaf evergreen. The genus Euphorbia is one of the largest and most varied of all plants and contains over 2,000 species which range in form and growing habit from groundcovers to trees that are 70+ feet tall. As with most Euphorbias, this plant can excrete a milky sap that can cause skin irritation. Growing about 5-6 feet tall, the Crown of Thorns has become a very popular house plant also due to the many seasonal pink-red blossoms that it produces.
ALL PLANTS ARE SHIPPED IN POTS WITH SOIL OR OTHER MEDIA UNLESS IT IS DEEMED NECESSARY TO SHIP BARE ROOT.
Pictured in a 2.5" pot.
Due to its thorns and succulent nature, it is not recommended for vivariums.
