Spectracide Ant Shield Ant Bait can be used anywhere there is an ant problem indoors or outdoors. Scout ants seeking food for their colony find the bait station and begin feeding. They take the bait back to the colony where it is eaten by both the queen and other worker ants. The colony stops reproducing and begins to die, preventing ants from the colony from infesting your home. Bait is considered one of the most effective means to kill ants because it kills the queen and destroys the entire colony. Once scout and worker ants find the bait they take it back to the nest where it is shared with the queen and the rest of the colony. Once the queen and other ants eat the bait, the entire nest will die. Ant Shield works for up to 6 months indoors. Each package contains 4 bait stations.
