One of our two unique Spanish almonds, Marconas are really large, with tons of nutty, milky flavor to go with it, thanks to a higher fat content. The Marcona almond is used predominantly in pastries and baked goods. They are quite famous around the world and very different than almonds here in America both in flavor and shape. Grown in the Mediterranean coast of Spain from Malaga to Tarragona, the Marcona is easily recognizable by it's unique light brown, almost holey shell.
