South Carolina is famous for so many things, including the home of the famous Charleston Nuclear Power School Museum. South Carolina has a great range of topography - mountains in the west, piedmont, tidal plains, swamps, and beaches. Economically, it is diverse as well, from Appalachia to Old Southern money in the old Plantation house district of Charleston. SC is a wonderful state. Though the papermills stink, and the sandgnats are terrible, there is much more than that. One of the most underrated places to live in the country. Imagine, in the course of 4 hours driving, going from mountains to the beach!!
