ABOUT THE UpTop Treats FAMILY

UpTop Treats is a family, woman, and veteran-owned business based in Monument, Colorado.

Our beloved brand mascot, Princeton, is a Pika — a cute woodland critter that spends his days foraging for scrumptious treats high UpTop in the Rocky Mountains of North America. While hiking above treeline, you may hear Princeton singing as Pika make their colony dens along high-elevation, western alpine landscapes.

While not quite on the endangered species list, Pika numbers are declining at an alarming rate. As an exclusively alpine animal, they are vulnerable to changes in temperature, vegetation, and new predators and pests.

As avid lovers of the outdoors, nature, and its wildlife, conservation is near and dear to our hearts. A portion of every sale goes directly to Colorado Parks & Wildlife in support of Princeton and his furry & feathered friends.

ABOUT FREEZE DRIED CANDY

UpTop Treats freeze dried candy options infuse variety into the traditional freeze dried food and meals, with an exciting & unconventional approach to candy snacks. Quite the novelty, freeze-dried candies are light and tasty crunchy treats suitable for backpacking, camping, or just those in the mood for a unique new take on classic candy.

How is candy freeze dried? The freeze drying process is a special temperature dehydration that removes nearly all moisture in the candy.

What is the difference between freeze dried and dehydrated foods? The main difference between freeze-dried products and dehydrated products is the remaining moisture content. Dehydrating products removes about 90-95% of the moisture content, whereas freeze drying removes about 98-99% of the moisture content.
