SOAN Ultralight Fire Starter - Lightweight Ferrocerium Ferro Rod Fire Starter

Built with real world use in mind, the Soan Ultralight Ferrocium Rod is the perfect balance between size, weight and capability. Traditional ferro rods are excessively large and heavy or often too small to be easily used (such as the necklace style) in life threatening situations with reduced motor controls. The Soan ferro rod is small enough to be easily carried and not noticed (weighing only 1/3 of an oz) but still large enough to be used with shivering cold and wet. Designed by myself and fellow active duty soldiers and made on FT Bragg, NC. The Soan Ultralight Ferrocium Rod is made to be used and carried when every once must be counted. Realistically, ferro rods are a great secondary or even tertiary way to make fire. But even as primary means; Soan's rod is capable of making thousands of fires, tested to over 5000+ strikes or more if used conservatively.
