The board measures 21 by 15 inches with a thickness of 3/4 inch and has a rectangular section of wood in its center that is carved with a series of pyramids. The pyramids grip the meat to hold it steady for serving and carving. A 1/2-inch-wide channel along the edges of the board catches any meat juices before they overflow onto a tabletop or cloth. The opposite side of the board is smooth and can be used as a secondary prep surface for chopping vegetables or kneading bread dough.
