Smetana- Piano Trio in G Minor

Composed in 1855, Smetana's Piano Trio in g minor, Op. 15, was a memorial to his young daughter Bed?iška, who died of complications from scarlet fever that same year.  Smetana's own words on the source of the piano trio (translated and quoted in the preface to this edition) are touching: "...in remembrance of our first child Bed?iška, who carried us away with her extraordinary talent for music, and who was soon snatched from us by inexorable death when she was but 4 1/2 years old..."  The work is appropriately dark and mournful, with many tender moments woven throughout its pages.This Urtext edition has been prepared by František Bartoš, Josef Plavec, and Karel Šolc.  Published by Bärenreiter Verlag.  Includes score (piano score) and parts, plus a substantial preface of notes on the work.  Difficulty: A5/A6NOTE: The score mentioned is the piano score.  There is no additional score.
