A compact manual mini scraper, ideal for projects scraping paint, rust, and adhesives that need a blade that locks into place. Its manual retraction mechanism means that the blade locks in place once exposed. Designed for left- or right-handed use, saving you money. Ideal for scraping smooth surfaces. Test a hidden area of your project if using on metal, wood, or glass, as too much pressure, or a bad angle, may cause scratches. Easy, quick, and convenient no-tool blade change. Safer blade design makes Slice scraping and cutting tools different. Our safety blades are deliberately designed to be only as sharp as they need to be to scrape or cut the intended material. This makes them less likely to cause puncture or laceration injuries. All blades can cut you, even our safe-to-the-touch safety blades, if you apply enough force. Stainless steel is a relatively soft material, which dulls quickly. Stainless steel blades are manufactured to be extremely sharp, in order to last longer. These blades are very dangerous when they are sharp, and equally dangerous when they are dull. In contrast, we manufacture our thicker, more durable safety blades from zirconium oxide. By making our blades thicker, we have been able to create blades which last 11. 2 times longer than stainless steel. The real safety of our blades comes from how they are sharpened. We apply a patent-pending, double-angle grind by hand, using a diamond cutting wheel. This reduces the length of the part of the blade that cuts you, keeping you safer. Our blades aren’t dull, they are designed for safety. A bit more force may be needed to initiate your scrape or cut, but this is a small tradeoff for safety. Our replaceable blade tools, like this mini scraper, ship with rounded-tip blades as a safety measure. Rounded tips are less likely to cause puncture wounds. Depending on the type of substance or material you are scraping, one of our replacement blades with pointed tips or a serrated edge may give better results.
