Size:2 Blades Slice’s Ceramic Utility Blade is a safer way to cut. Our patented safety blade cuts your materials effectively while its finger-friendly edge is safe to the touch. Popular with Fortune 1000 companies looking to reduce workplace injuries, these utility blades are equally at home in the workshop or the house tackling everyday cutting tasks. Their sturdy construction from advanced ceramics—much harder than steel—promises strong cutting power and superior wear resistance. Metal blades start out dangerously oversharpened then quickly become too dull. Slice blades start at a safe, effective sharpness, and stay there up to 11.2 times longer than metal. This saves your money and your skin. Our blades are also non-conductive, chemically inert, and never rust. Use the Slice 10524 blade in a third-party handle to safely and effectively cut materials such as cardboard, roofing membrane, tough reinforced paper or plastic bags, and more. We don’t recommend the 10524 for cutting very hard materials like drywall or wood. Some materials, such as flexible plastics or burlap, require a pointed-tip blade to initiate the cut. The 10524 blade features rounded tips for safety. If you need to pierce the material to initiate the cut, you may wish to buy the 10525 pointed tip blade. While we can’t control the build of third-party handles, we have heard from customers that the following handles work well with the 10524: Lenox 20366SRK1 Alltrade 150003 Auto-Load WISS AutoRetract WKAR1 Irwin 2088600 Milwaukee Fastback 48-22-1901 Rapid Tools RT00035 Shark Stanley 10-065 Yellow Stanley 10-189 Red ReAkta Knife Ceramic The 10524 blade is not intended to bear side load or lateral pressure. Designed only for use as a cutting tool. The 10524 continues to cut effectively even if micro-chips occur. Note: thicker blade may not fit every third-party blade handle. Please check your handle’s specs to ensure that it will hold a blade up to 0.8 millimeters thick. Try the Slice 10524 Utility Blade for a safer cut.
