This Siemens 3SE5 112-0LF01 mechanical limit switch comes as a complete unit with a 40 mm wide metal enclosure, one normally-open (NO) and two normally-closed (NC) snap action contacts, and an angular roller lever actuator, and is suitable for use in plant and building automation systems. The snap action operation provides simultaneous switching of all contacts, regardless of actuator speed. The roller lever actuator can be rotated around the enclosure axis in increments of 22.5 degrees and has a 22 mm plastic roller. This mechanical limit switch conforms to the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) EN 50047 standard for dimensions and mechanical data and the EN 50041 standard for quality assurance, and is suitable for use in applications with approach angles of 30 degrees and trailing angles of 45 degrees. Specifications Positive opening of NC contacts EN 60947-1 Quality assurance EN 50041 Dimensions and mechanical data EN 50047 Degree of protection IP66/67 Mechanical limit switches are used to make or break electrical circuit connections as part of a facility automation system. The switch is composed of a contact block with one or more electrical contacts, wiring connections, an enclosure for protection, and an actuator head for tracking object movement. Switch contacts can be normally open or normally closed, and switch connections can be either quick or slow, depending on the switch design, and they can include status LEDs and connector sockets. Actuator head types include rounded and roller plungers, roller and angular roller levers, spring rods, twist levers and rod actuators with a twist actuator, and fork levers with a twist actuator. Mechanical limit switches are used in many applications such as elevators, conveyors, doors, water tanks, railroad crossings, emergency exits, and as emergency shutoffs in industrial workplaces. Siemens manufactures electronic products for building automation, industrial drives, lighting, energy generation, medical equipment, and rail transportation. The company, founded in 1847 and headquartered in Germany, meets International Standards Organization (ISO) standards 14001, 9001 and TS 16949.
