SGT R. Hart (Ret.) began making his famous recipe for his sauce in the late 90’s on a relaxing Sunday in Germany. He was tending to the grill while fellow Service Members their families were enjoying one another’s company at the gathering. Suddenly realizing that there wasn’t any store-bought sauce and all the stores are closed on Sunday’s the country; he began what is called “Soldiering up” and improvised; creating what is known today as SGT Hart’s BBQ Sauce.
