An annual decorative climbing plant that grows up to 3m (120 in.). Beautiful flowers that change color during blooming. Bright red buds are becoming orange, then get lighter, and fully open flowers are pale yellow. Used for vertical decoration as well as cuttings. Attention: the plant is poisonous.

Planting instructions:   Nicking your red cypress vine seed with a knife or soaking them in warm water for two hours just before planting speeds germination. Direct sow at the rate of six to eight seeds per foot after the spring soil temperature reaches 70 degrees. Germination typically occurs within two to three weeks. When their second set of true leaves appears, thin them to stand 1 foot apart. For heaviest flowering, water, when the top 3 inches of soil are dry and feed with a general-purpose fertilizer, applied according to the manufacturer's instructions. Start the seeds indoors a month before your soil normally reaches 70 degrees. Plant them in 2-inch pots with drainage holes. Add sterile potting soil to within 1 inch of the rims, poke two seeds into each and cover them with one-quarter inch of the medium. Placing the pots in a sink with 1 inch of water for two or three hours lets the medium absorb moisture through the drainage holes without disturbing the seeds. When they sprout, remove the glass and move the pots to a well-lit area out of direct sunlight. Water them well and keep them away from direct sun for three more days.
