We make our clevis hooks from heat-treated, forged steel to be strong and meet all the requirements for high-test chain. These grab hooks are designed to grab a chain link and hold it in place with the hook sized by the material diameter of the chain they engage. Make sure the hook size and chain diameter are compatible before attaching to your load. The outer diameter of the hook is 2-1/8" and the inner diameter is 5/16". The hook size is for 5/16" chain size. The overall length is 3-3/4". High test components are not approved for overhead lifting.
