From the Manufacturer Scotch® Box Sealing Tape 351 securely closes a wide variety of box and carton materials, including corrugated fiberboard. The moisture-resistant polyester backing resists high temperatures, chemicals, scuffing and abrasion to hold secure throughout the shipping process. This tape is recommended for heavy box sealing (weighing up to 100 lbs.) and other demanding packaging applications. Scotch® Box Sealing Tape 351 features a biaxially oriented polyester backing with pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber hot melt adhesive. It is 3.43 mils thick with adhesion of 78 oz/in width, tensile strength of 67 lbs/in and elongation at break of 130%. The tape features high edge tear and split resistance and complies with environmental considerations of ASTM D1974-92.
