Product Description Scotch 355 Box Sealing Tape is an industrial-grade packing tape that provides durable performance in demanding packaging environments. The backing is made of polyester – our strongest backing material – and is resistant to abrasion, moisture and scuffing. This high-performance ultra-adhesive packaging tape securely closes double and triple walled corrugated cartons, including those with high recycled content, saving time and reducing closure failures. The tape’s conformable backing resists score line breaking and center seam splitting, making it ideal for use in heavy-duty box and carton sealing operations, including for heavy-weight packages and overseas/export packing and shipping. From the Manufacturer Scotch® Box Sealing Tape 353 securely closes a wide variety of box and carton materials, including corrugated boxes with high recycled content. The moisture-resistant polyester backing resists abrasion, chemicals, and scuffing to hold strong throughout the shipping process. This tape is suitable for use on single- and double-walled corrugated boxes weighing up to 100 lbs., including those with high recycled content. Scotch® Box Sealing Tape 353 features a biaxially oriented polyester backing with a pressure-sensitive rubber resin adhesive. It is 1.9 mils thick with adhesion of 45 oz/in width, tensile strength of 25 lbs/in and elongation at break of 110%. The tape complies with environmental considerations of ASTM D1974-92 and meets CID A-A-1684B.
