Product Description New faces and old faves pepper this random assortment of odds and ends, a behind-the-scenes peek at the first season of School Rumble! And you simply won t believe the absurd antics that got left out the first time around... (Though crazy does seem to be the theme of this show!) It s a dog eat dog world as Yoshidayama takes on Harima, and lil sis Yakumo discovers she s not the only one who s barking mad! Poor Imadori just might have met his match... Looks like he s about to find out that Lara s bark is no where near as bad as her bite! There s even a history lesson as Class 2-C goes Neanderthal... Too bad for Karasuma that curry hasn t been invented yet! School Rumble The absolutely funniest show you ll ever see that s not about anything that rumbles... Ever! Amazon.com The OVA Extra Class ( School Rumble Ichigakki Hoshu) is an anthology of mini-adventures for Harima, Tenma, Yakumo, and the rest of the nutty gang from Yagami High. Some of the segments feel like trims from the first season: a tense scene between Yakumo and Harima during a thunder storm was apparently cut from the episode in which they work on his manga. A trip to a hot spring turns into a classic anime comedy skit as Imadori tries to peek at the girls' pool, class representative Hanai tries to stop him, and Harima loses his towel at the worst possible moment. "Prehistoric Rumble" takes the cast back 10,000 years to the Ice Age settlement of Yagami Village. While carving manga-style images into tree trunks, Harima accidentally discovers how to chip obsidian, which enables the villagers to make weapons strong enough to kill Devil Tusk the mammoth. Karasuma turns a leaf into a thaumatrope, an early animation toy, and announces, "I think I'll call it anime." Although there's no sustained storyline, Extra Classoffers plenty of laughs. (Rated TV PG: suitable for ages 12 and older: comic violence, risqué humor, brief nudity) --Charles Solomon
