A counted cross stitch pattern of a mule-drawn covered wagon crossing a river on a drawbridge with stone abutments. Several women on the shore next to the bridge are taking advantage of the perfect weather to do their laundry in the river. A leaking rowboat is drawn up into the reeds nearby.
