Scarlet Quince DEA014 Apple by John Henry Dearle Counted Cross Stitch Chart- Regular Size Symbols

A counted cross stitch pattern of a slender apple tree bearing many red apples. It is surrounded by fanciful flowers in orange, pink, yellow and blue and blue and green leaves and vines. A small bird sits at the base of the tree. There is a second background of brocade leaves. It is based on a silk-on-silk embroidery by the William Morris studio, used as the third panel of a folding screen. We also offer the first panel of the screen, Pomegranate and the second, Vine. (After 1896) This pattern is solidly stitched. Any color fabric may be used.
