Living the beautiful life, successful young Californian marijuana dealers, Chon (Taylor Kitsch) and Ben (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), suddenly find their lucrative business threatened when a Mexican drug cartel, Baja, kidnaps their shared girlfriend, Ophelia (Blake Lively), and demands a slice of the action.
