Bunbuns are an enemy from Super Mario Land in World 1-2. They closely resemble bees. They are flying enemies with spears. Bunbuns drop their spears when they come close to Mario. Jumping or shooting a superball defeats them. Once defeated, they will award Mario 800 points. Interestingly, they turn into skeletons as a result of being stomped upon. Some Bunbuns appear at high altitudes, which results in Mario being unable to defeat them.
