Made with 11-gauge steel and sharp chisel points, these landscape staples will make applying the staples to the ground that much easier. Installation tips Depending on how hard your soil is, separate each sod staple between 1-5 ft. For extremely soft soil, separate each staple by 1 ft. For extremely hard soil, separate each staple by 5 ft. We recommend using longer sod staples (such as our 9 inch sod staples) for extremely soft soil. This round top staple will work well with normal soil. For hard soils, we recommend choosing our 6" galvanized 9-gauge round top staples, as they are thicker.
