I have always loved being a hairdresser and creating products that solve problems to help women to feel more beautiful. Beauty creates confidence and this is really the most attractive quality in any women. My wife and partner (Nicole O'Rourke) came up with the pink and crystal packaging. She is a true girly-girl but also a fierce woman who is motivated to change the world, Rock Your Hair is really designed to show that a girl can be feminine but also shouldn't be afraid to stand out from the crowd. What differentiates your product from similar products out there? There are lots of hair care lines on the market, but none with the heart and soul that we have at Rock Your Hair. We are empowering young women and creating a culture that goes way beyond big hair. We design each product with extreme care and educate stylists around the globe on proper usage and on new cutting techniques. We incorporate our decades of professional hair care experience into a fresh approach that appeals to millenials and the next generation of rockstars. The most challenging part of the creative process is staying focused, as entrepreneurs there are always ideas everywhere to expand the line as well as people wanting to get on board when they see a good thing, we have to remind ourselves daily that the only goal is to keep pushing the "Rock Your Hair" ball up the hill and that there will be time for more projects and line expansions later. That and finding work-life balance of course, which kind of really isn't an option with a young brand, it's kind of like when you are up all night with a new baby, you just have to find the extreme miraculous joy in the process despite the super long hours!
