His parents are Prem Shivdasani, a Hindu while his mother is Sandha Shivdasani, a Muslim. He has an older sister Afsana. His school years were spent in St Xaviers High School. He completed college with a degree from H.R. College of Commerce. He was all of fourteen months old when he appeared in an ad for the baby food brand Farex.
