This stamp is part of the 1935 Farley reprints, that are all imperforate, with no glue as issued. There are a total of 20 stamps that were issued under the administration of Postmaster General James A. Farley. The Farley reprints; (sometimes referred to as "Farley's Follies") are identified as Scott # 752-771. They were issued without gum and placed on sale at the Philatelic Agency in Washington, D.C. for only three months, March 15 through June 15, 1935. Farley allowed these to purchased by government officials only. Stamp collectors objected when stamps were not made available to everyone, prompting a memo from President Franklin D Roosevelt to Post Master Farley to discontinue issuance of any stamp except in the precise condition in which the issue is placed on sale at the Post Offices"
