The border around the sham is cut on a bias, (which means the pattern is cut at a 45° angle, creating a diagonal look.) The 2.0" finished edge is a double-layered flange, which adds a crisp, tailored finish to the sham. It reverses to gingham fabric and 3 light-colored wooden buttons are attached to keep your pillow inside. There is a 3.0" overlap of fabric where the buttons are attached to keep them more secure and one extra button is sewn inside. (just in case!)
