...WHY SLATE?... Natural Stone coasters (such as slate) are one the most efficiently absorbent coasters. The slate will absorb the liquid into its pores, and hold it within the stone (and not on your table!). Air will still circulate into the stone and evaporate the liquid, drying the stone back out quickly and leaving no trace of a ring. We think it is pretty incredible!
