They will perfectly accent any kitchen, home, Tiki bar, pub, game room, office or garage. - ABOUT THE ARTIST - Pierre O’Kley - O'Kley (Pierre Gilardeau; 1930-2007) was a pseudonym for Nantes-born Pierre Gilardeau, the man behind some of the most collectable Folies Bergère posters. He also illustrated many book covers and movie posters as well producing images for the Moulin Rouge. He loved painting beautiful women, and found his niche. A poster for the Paris nightclub “La Nouvelle Eve” in 1956 was the turning point in his career. He continued along those lines, doing pin-up style advertising art for big clients, including le Casino de Paris and les Folies Bergère, as well as for products like soda, swimsuits and nylons, record jackets, calendars and film posters.
