Ruby Muhly Grass (Muhlenbergia reverchonii ) - Ruby Muhly grass, with Latin name Muhlenbergia reverchonii, is a type of ornamental grass that grows in various areas across the United States although it is native to Texas. Blue/green needle like foliage, giving it a stiff upright growth habit, and can get 3 - 4 feet in height and a 2 - 3 foot spread. A real show in the fall with flowers that look like a purple cloud from far away, giving a spectacular fall color show. Grows in drought conditions as well as wet conditions. It is one of the top choices when choosing ornamental grasses for landscaping due to its beautiful purple blooms, which are billowing and delicate.
