The fleshy, bean-shaped leaves of this trailing succulent look like gemstones, which gives the plant one of its nicknames: Ruby Necklace. You might also know this plant as "Little Pickles" or "Bobbejaankool." This tender perennial is native to South Africa. It works beautifully as a trailing or hanging succulent in a basket, rockery, or wall garden. Othonna Capensis can even be used as a ground cover. It grows slowly throughout the winter season. It will bloom often with yellow, daisy-like flowers. This plant prefers plenty of airflow and bright, filtered light. Soil should be allowed to dry out before watering.
