Notre-Dame Cathedral, marking the very center of Paris. 20 minutes after sunset. This is a departure from my typical color palette. I made a conscious decision during this trip to Paris to push beyond my comfort zone and change things up and use different colors and techniques than normal. I had a set of successful actions, with technically no need to continue experimenting and innovating. I could shoot every major city in the world using only the normal colors and styles and I'd be fine. But I knew I wouldn't be happy, and my evolving craft is one of the most enjoyable parts of being an artist. And part of that is continuously breaching the unknown.
