Norpro Cast Iron and Stainless Steel Fattigmann Cutter

Norwegians and other Scandinavians use this traditional tool to quickly, smoothly, and uniformly cut dough into the diamond shapes that distinguish the holiday cookies called Fattigman. Fattigman, usually flavored with cardamom, are deep-fried and dusted with powdered sugar. Normally, a slit is cut in the center of the diamond and one point of the diamond is pulled through the slit, although the recipe included with this durable, cast-aluminum cutter eliminates that step. --Fred Brack
