The NICOR Lighting 6-Inch Non-IC Rated Sloped Recessed Lighting Housing Retrofit Kit (17020R) is suitable for remodel in residential and commercial applications and requires 3-Inch spacing from insulation. Integral thermal guards protect against improper lamping and misuse of insulation materials. This light is designed for slope ceiling installation with a 2/12 to 6/12 pitch and the socket pivots allow the lamp to be aimed straight down regardless of ceiling pitch. The airtight housing limits the exchange of air between ceiling plenum and heated/cooled areas. The housing adjusts from 1/2-Inch to 1-1/2-Inch to accommodate ceiling thickness and its 8-3/4-Inch height allows it to be used in 2-Inch x 8-Inch joist construction.
