Cousin Eddie Johnson (Randy Quaid) gets fired from his job at a nuclearresearch facility just before Christmas. But when a laboratory monkeybites hapless Eddie, his soon-to-be-former boss sends Eddie's entirefamily on a South Pacific vacation in the hope that Eddie won't sue.
