From the Back Cover
It's Mystery Science Theater 3000, America's only show that makes fun of really bad B movies from the comfort of a spaceship floating above Earth. Mike Nelson, along with his mechanical companions, wisecracking Crow and well-read chick magnet Tom Servo, make suffering through Hollywood's worst films a breeze. Adding their own dialogue, barrage of witty remarks, and an occasional colorful skit, they next hour and a half will fly by like it were only 90 minutes. There's no ushers with flashlights, crying babies, or women with big hair to spoil the fun. Ok, so your fiancé is brutally gunned down in the middle of a picnic. What do you do? If you answered: team up with his brother and join a biker gang, you're right! Joel, Servo, and Crow certainly have a lot of fuel for their commentary, and the results are hilarious. Parodying a song featured during one of the excessive party scenes, Joel recites "I'm losing my dignity." Perhaps this statement alone can describe Hellcats. Although another musical parody, later offered by Crow might summarize the film: "Mass confusion; they're talking about the plot!" During a strange scene involving a tractor stunt, Joel comments, "Obviously kids shouldn't try this at home." His observation is followed by Tom's, who adds "No kidding, kids shouldn't be WATCHING this at home." We'll let you be the judge! Show #209; original airdate December 8, 1990.
