The MPU-6050 sensor module contains an accelerometer and a gyro in a single chip. It is very accurate. Since the board contains 16-bits analog to digital conversion hardware for each channel, therefore it captures the x, y, and z channel at the same time. The sensor uses the I2C-bus to interface with the Arduino.

Please note, these will NOT tell you the absolute angle that a device is being held at, they only sense short events like tilting or spinning. For that you need a 9axis (9DOF) module, OR you can connect a compass (magnetometer) to this module through the slave port. (basically turning this 6axis into a 9axis)
Features: It is a really powerful device along with the 3 axis gyro and accelerometer
It is quite sensitive, and can detect light tapping on the table top
Applications: Various robotics
Quadcopters
Smart phone
Tablet devices
Handheld games
Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)
Package List: 1 Pcs 3 Axis Analog Gyro Accelorometer Module
