Friedrich Gulda was a special pianist, and nothing says this more clearly than his Mozart recordings for Deutsche Grammophon. This comprehensive, 10-CD edition documents the development of Gulda's approach to the composer from 1948 until his last recordings in 1999, and includes concertos, sonatas and the rare "Mozart tapes" of sonatas recorded in winter 1980/81 and for which the original master has unfortunately disappeared.
