I thought it might be difficult but it really wasn't. First remove the kick panel, it pops out. Then I used a pair of needle nose Vise Grips to hold the bare cable all the way out. I then cut off the handle remains with cutters. Remember that the OEM handle is not threaded on the pull cable, just wedged. The new handle slid right on, and the two Allen set screws tightened down securely. The hood release works again!
