This late production P-51D combined high speed, long range and heavy firepower that proved invaluable when escorting long-range bomber formations in Europe and the Pacific. The P-51D was used on all theatres of operation in World War 2 and continued to be operated as a front line fighter during the Korean War. The P51D remained in service for many years after WWII in Air National Guard units. This 1/144 plastic assembly kit builds into a model with 4” wingspan. Position-able landing gear.
