Methyl Violet test paper is a narrow range pH test paper. Methyl Violet will transition from yellow (pH 0.2) to violet (pH 2.0). This test paper should not be used to test the stability of nitrocellulose propellants and is NOT military grade. Instructions: Remove one methyl violet test paper from the vial, being careful not to touch the strip anywhere other than where you grasp it with your fingertips. Dip the strip into the solution to be tested for 1-2 seconds and remove. The methyl violet indicator remains violet above pH 2.0, gradually turning to yellow at pH 0.2.
