Mahler G- Symphonies 1-9

Highly regarded for many years and the first complete cycles to be recorded, this complete collection of Mahler's Symphonies is being issued for the first time as a box set of 10 CDs. Maurice Abravanel directs the Utah Symphony Orchestra with the Utah Civic Chorale and various other choruses and the soloists include Beverly Sills and Netanya Devrath. This set consists of all the numbered symphonies plus the Adagio from the (unfinished) Symphony No. 10. The recordings are first rate, in some cases such as the 4th symphony, the 7th symphony and parts of the 8th symphony including the momentous finale, they are generally regarded as being second to none.
