Our lightweight magnetic hooks are always capable of hanging. IMPORTANT NOTICE: -Distance Distance between the base of magnetic hook and surface of attracted item is critical. It must be as minimum as possible: 0.004-inch distance (such as a sheet of paper, or 0.004-inch thickness of painting) will give rise to 20% attractive force off. It becomes 90% off when the distance is 0.079-inch. -Thickness of attracted item Thickness of attracted item is another key point, too thin iron bar will give rise to a very low magnetic puling force because of magnetic saturation. The suggested minimum thickness is 0.16 inches if you want to take full advantage of strong permanent magnetic hooks. Thickness of 0.12-inch will lead to 10% attractive force off. Thickness of 0.02-inch means 80% attractive force off. -Vertical or Horizontal hanging? Vertical hanging is recommended, though hanging method of horizontal is used in the most common place.
